About the Program

Building Access, Completion, and Excellence for Taguigeños

All TCU students are scholars of the City in so far as their education is paid for by funds from the Taguig City Government. CEAA exists to ease daily costs (transportation, meals, and school requirements) so students can enroll, finish, and excel.

Under Ordinance No. 08, s. 2019 — “An Ordinance Providing Educational Assistance Allowance and Merit Incentive to Qualified and Deserving College Students of Taguig City University.”

Program Policy

TCU City Educational Assistance Allowance (TCU-CEAA)

Educational Assistance Allowance

Qualified and deserving TCU college students receive ₱10,000 per academic year or ₱5,000 per semester to help defray educational-related expenses as well as transportation and living expenses.

Merit Incentive

  • ₱5,000 per semester (₱10,000 per year) for SWA ≥ 88.75.
  • At least 15 credit units earned in the semester.
  • No failing marks, incomplete, blank/no grade subjects, or dropped subjects.
  • PE and NSTP grades are not included in computation.

Basic Qualifying Criteria

  1. Already enrolled at TCU.
  2. If 18+, applicant is an active voter of Taguig.
  3. At least one parent is an active voter of Taguig.
  4. Family residents of Taguig for at least 3 years.
  5. Of good moral character.

Requirements to be Submitted

For New Applicants

  • Junior High School Certificate / Grade 10 Report Card / Certification from the Principal.
  • Senior High School Diploma / Grade 12 Report Card / Certification from the Principal.
  • School ID or any valid government-issued ID (within validity).
  • Birth Certificate (PSA/NSO/Civil Registry Office).
Acceptable Government IDs
  • UMID/e-Card, Driver’s License, Passport, SSS, Voter’s ID, BIR (TIN), PWD ID, Solo Parent ID, Barangay ID, Postal ID, PhilHealth, PhilID/ePhilID (National ID), AFP Beneficiary/Dependent’s ID.

For Renewing Applicants

  • Complete and submit your online application; then wait for updates.
Other Necessary Documents
  • Certified True Copy of Form 137 (Elem/HS)…
  • ALS Certificate (if ALS Graduate).
  • Parents’ Death Certificate (PSA/NSO/CRO), if claimed deceased.
  • Work Contract/VISA/Passport (if any parent is an OFW).
  • Voter’s Certification from COMELEC (issued after May 2022).

Maintaining the Educational Assistance

  • Fill out the online application form during the application period every semester.
  • Upload and submit all required documents each semester.
  • GWA for the duration of TCU-CEAA must be ≥ 80%.
  • No failing marks, incomplete, blank/no grade subjects, or drops.
  • Carry a load of at least 15 units per semester.

Violations

  1. 1st offense — probation/warning
  2. 2nd offense — suspension for the semester
  3. 3rd offense — termination from the program
